My friend Lora Carr has set up her studio in a great old mill building in downtown Moorestown, here outside of Philadelphia. Again this is not an office, but it certainly is a workplace and I think its informative to see how she is using the space. She was hosting an open house the day I visited and took these photos, so its not set up quite the way it operates day to day. She has a large square space with a timber post dead center which naturally divides the space into four quarters.
Lora has introduced only one partition wall which is not full height. It divides the entry/reception/office/sales area from the studio portion of the space, but it lets daylight, or at least a sense of daylight, come over the top of the wall.
The other half of the space has been kept open for shooting with backdrops or the natural brick wall. And the last corner is set up like a living room.
